A fully recyclable carpet
Our passion lies in the world of events, where every detail matters. However, the production of event carpets, totaling over 100 million square meters annually worldwide, contributes to excessive waste generation, particularly considering their short lifespan of just a few days.
In an era where sustainability and material recyclability are increasingly crucial, we recognize the need to play our part in this movement. This led to the creation of XPOPURE®: a Latex Free Carpet that is not only 100% recyclable but also signifies the end of disposable carpets.
Sustainable impact
No Latex
Unlike traditional non-woven products, the XPOPURE® event carpet is made without the use of latex to bind it. As a result, and contrary to traditional latex-containing carpets, the XPOPURE® carpet can be recycled into new fibers or into a new granulate which can be re-used in different high value applications.
No water
Water is becoming increasingly valuable as a resource. That’s why we are proud to say that our new production method for the event carpet XPOPURE® doesn’t require a single drop of water, thus saving hundreds of thousands of liters of water a year.
70-80% less energy
Our new and innovative production process to manufacture XPOPURE® requires less heat, which means we need a lot less electricity and gas to produce our carpets. As a result, the carpets are made with 70-80% less energy than would otherwise be required.
50% less CO2
The lower caloric energy consumption during the production process also results in 50% fewer CO2 emissions, meaning the XPOPURE® carpet has a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional event carpets.
100% circular
Through our innovative approach, used carpets are repurposed into new event carpets, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
An ecofriendly production process
A ‘Pure Loop’ system is being used during the recycling process, allowing us to shred used carpets and carpet production waste and transform them into PP granulate once again. This recycled PP granulate is then utilized to extrude fibers, which we then can convert into new event carpets again. This approach allows us to offer a fully circular carpet solution for your event needs.
When the obtained re-granulate is not used to manufacture carpet fibers again, we can also utilize it for producing plastic injection molding pieces (down-cycling recycling). This ensures that even after its life as a carpet, the materials are still repurposed, contributing to waste reduction and promoting a circular economy.
